In a city-state as forward-thinking as Singapore, "sustainability" is more than just a buzzword—it’s a roadmap. Today, Pure Water Dispensers (PWD) is proud to announce a major milestone on that map: the full transition of our delivery and service fleet to 100% Electric Vehicles (EVs).
As of Feburary 2026, every PWD van you see on the road is running on clean energy, ensuring that our commitment to "purity" starts long before the water reaches your cup.
Why the Move to 100% EV?
Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 has set a clear vision: to phase out internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles by 2040. At PWD, we didn't want to wait. By electrifying our fleet today, we are tackling two major urban challenges:
Zero Tailpipe Emissions: Our daily operations—from delivering bottled water to conducting maintenance—now produce zero carbon emissions, directly improving the air quality in the neighborhoods we serve.
A Quieter Singapore: EVs are significantly quieter than traditional diesel or petrol vans, helping reduce noise pollution in busy commercial and residential districts.
Beyond the Fleet: Our "Green Delivery" Roadmap
While our new EV fleet is the most visible part of our sustainability journey, it is only one pillar of our broader Green Delivery strategy. We believe that true environmental stewardship requires looking at the entire lifecycle of our products.
To achieve this, we are introducing a new generation of hydration technology designed for the modern, eco-conscious office:
1. Climate-Friendly Cooling (R600a)
We are phasing in water dispensers that utilize R600a refrigerant. Unlike traditional refrigerants, R600a is a natural hydrocarbon with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and an ultra-low Global Warming Potential (GWP). It’s more energy-efficient, meaning your office stays hydrated with even less electricity.
2. The End of Single-Use Plastics
We are on a mission to make "plastic-free" the office standard.
Refilled Smart Dispensers: These cloud-connected systems allow users to "BYO bottle" and enjoy filtered, chilled, or even flavored water without a single plastic bottle in sight.
PW-RUV: Our RUV systems provide a touchless, high-hygiene self-filling station. By upgrading to RUV, offices can provide premium water safely while encouraging the use of reusable containers.
